Counter Culture Coffee’s Chicago training center (177 N. Ada St.) will open to the public onSaturday, May 30 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. as part of their Sustainable Spring events. The popular coffee roaster, based in North Carolina, aims to showcase the work of those promoting sustainability and green living in the communities around their training centers. In Chicago they’ve chosen Goose Island Assistant Brewery Manager Ian Hughes, who will present on the company’s sustainability efforts.

Counter Culture’s training center also opens to the public every Friday at 10 a.m. for their weekly coffee cupping.
