Wednesday, June 3, is Camp Day, the day Tim Hortons donates 100 percent of coffee proceeds to its foundation. Thanks to the support of Tim Hortons restaurant owners and their customers, Camp Day 2014 was a huge success. It raised $11.8 million that was used to make summer camp a reality for more than 17,000 children ages 9-12 who otherwise could not have had this wonderful experience.
Locally, Tim Hortons partners with Birmingham Youth Assistance to select children who face challenging circumstances in their lives. Last year, the Tim Hortons Foundation sent two girls from our community to its camp in Nova Scotia, Canada, at a cost of more than $2,500 per child.
This year, four lucky children, recommended by Birmingham Youth Assistance, have been selected. Help make a positive change in the lives of some deserving youngsters by enjoying your daily cup of coffee at the Birmingham Tim Hortons located at 36101 Woodward Avenue.
